In the hustle and bustle of life, most people neglect the proper care of their skin. Everyone is pressured to look young and flawless in this age of social media. However, most people cannot attain that flawless skin because they are not following a proper skincare routine.

Starting your mornings with a skincare routine helps you feel fresher and brighter. A proper morning skincare routine makes your skin look young and flawless. However, morning skin care is not just about using skin care products. It’s about following the correct order to apply these skin care products.

Cleansing

Cleansing your face is the first step in the morning skincare routine. You can use a mild cleansing oil to remove the overnight dirt and makeup. It removes dirt and makeup and softens the skin by removing excessive oil.

To cleanse your face, just take a few drops of oil cleanser and then rub it on your palms to make foam. Then, dab that foam on the face and massage it circular motion. Lastly, rinse your face with water. Then, try to air dry your face rather than drying it with any towel.

Ice Roller

After cleansing your face, you will massage it with an ice roller, which will help tighten up the open pores. Moreover, ice also helps reduce the puffiness and redness on your face. Alternatively, you can wrap an ice cube in a cotton cloth and then massage it on the face.

Toner

After cleaning your face properly, you need to tone your face with a toner. A toner helps clean the bits of dirt and oil left behind after cleansing. Toner also helps shrink the face’s open pores and maintains the proper ph level of the skin.

If you have oily or combination skin, you are advised to use rose water as a toner. However, if you have dry skin, you can use brightening toners. To apply the toner, take some drops in your palm, dab it on your face, and then let it absorb in your skin.

Serum

Serums are mild chemical solutions that aim to solve skin problems. Choose the type of serum according to the skin problem you are facing. So, for dry and dull skin, use a good brand of Hyaluronic serum; for dark spots, use a vitamin c serum to lighten and brighten skin.

If you have acne-prone skin, then clarifying serums containing a niacinamide chemical will work best for you. For applying the serum, apply the serum from the nose and then apply it outwards. Leave the serum for 2 to 3 minutes to get it to absorb into your skin.

Spot Treatment

This step is for those people who have acne-prone skin. So, you can use an acne-preventing cream prescribed by dermatologists. For this spot treatment, you must apply the cream only on the active spots of acne. These acne creams can dry up your skin, so always apply them on the active spots, not on the whole face.

Eye Gel

The eye gel is an optional step in the morning skincare routine. You can apply thick eye gels in the under-eye area to cure dark circles and baggy eyes. These eye gels help to cool the under-eye areas and energize the tired-looking eyes. Start from the corners of your eyes and then massage upwards towards your brow bones.

Moisturize Well

People with oily skin usually skip moisturizing their skin. However, skipping the moisturizer, whether oily or dry, is your skincare routine’s biggest mistake. Moisturizer locks all the hydration and moisture that is required for all day. You can choose different moisturizers depending on the type of skin. For people with dry skin, use a cream-based moisturizing lotion.

Sunscreen

To protect your skin from the harmful UV (Ultra Violet) rays of the sun, always use sunscreen. The sun’s harmful rays can cause wrinkles, fine lines and dark spots on your face. If you are moving outside from your home, don’t forget to carry sunscreen and apply it every two hours. Always choose a sunscreen with an SPF of 30 or more.

Prime It Up

If you are going to apply makeup on your skin, then before applying makeup, use primer. Primers help hold foundations and other makeup products on the skin for a longer time. To apply primer, take a few drops of primer and then massage it on your face with the help of your fingertips.

Conclusion

A perfect morning routine will leave you fresh and bright throughout your day. The correct skincare order starts from cleansing to removing all dirt and then moves further to massaging ice. Then, don’t forget toner and serum to thoroughly prep your skin. Then, move to the most important moisturizing step and apply sunscreen. Lastly, apply the primer to hold the makeup.
